Nuggets to Change Your World: How to Speak as a Leader

nuggets16The Bible tells us, “So now arise, go out and speak kindly and encouragingly to your servants; for I swear by the Lord, if you do not go, not a man will remain with you this night; and this will be worse for you than all the evil that has befallen you from your youth until now” (II Sam. 19:7 Amp).

Do you know there are two ways to lead…love and loyalty, or fear and intimidation.  As we discovered in the aforementioned verse, if you don’t speak kindly and in an encouraging fashion to people, they will eventually leave you!  Leaders, do you understand that when you lose your kindness, you lose your ministry?!  Remember this…being kind doesn’t mean you never raise your voice, but it does mean you never raise your temper!

In leadership, it is imperative that we are secure enough to encourage others (see Heb. 3:13 and Prov. 12:25 NIV)!  Remember this…secure people are people conscious.  Insecure people are position conscious.  Secure people want to add value to others.  Insecure people want to receive value from others!
