06 Nov Nuggets to Change Your World! (2 Timothy 2:5)

Your destiny requires your focus!  The Bible tells us, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before.  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:12-13).  Notice Paul, by the Holy Spirit, in essence said “this one thing I do…not these 40 things I dabble in!”  The number one reason most Christians fail is because of broken focus!  Focus is anything that consumes your time, energy, finances and attention.

The Bible tells us, “If thy brother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or thy wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying Let us go and serve other gods which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers…Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him, neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shall thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him.  But thou shalt surely kill him…” (Deut. 13:6,8-9).  (Aren’t you glad you don’t live in the Old Covenant?!)

While the “letter” of these verses certainly don’t transfer into our covenant of grace, the principle does…spiritually kill anything that breaks your focus!  The reason that God is a so adamant about this is that He recognizes if Satan can get you off your focus, he can master you!

Remember this…what you continually see, you’ll eventually be.  What you continually mind, you’ll eventually find.  What you continually say, will eventually stay.  What you continually sow, will eventually grow.  What you continually verbalize, will eventually materialize.  What you continually hear, you’ll eventually cheer or fear!
