19 Mar Nuggets to Change Your World! (2 Timothy 2:5)

The Bible tells us, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross…” (Heb. 12:2).  Did you know that pictures of joy release the power of endurance!   As most of you know, approximately eighteen years ago now, I was fighting off some severe heart challenges and I could barely walk and talk.  During this trial as Mrs. Anne and I would drive various places, I would intently gaze at joggers and quietly but confidently tell Mrs. Anne, “That will be me someday!”  Also, I would put pictures of me all around our apartment at that time.  They were pictures of me when I was healthy and happy and strong!

Today, those joggers and those pictures…are me!  You see, “pictures” of joy help release the power of endurance.  What you continually picture you’ll eventually pursue!  Remember this…mercy is for re-plays, but imagination is for pre-plays!

Have you ever noticed how God rarely shows you a picture of an upcoming trial?  Why do you think this is?  I believe it is because if He did, you might think that this is your destination rather than simply a bump in the road to your destiny!  Remember this…failure looks to the problem!   Success looks through the problem!
