27 May Why Should I? (Learning to see yourself as God sees you!) Gal. 3:11 Part 3
Over the last couple of weeks we began discussing how important it is to see yourself how God sees you. We began discussing 4 Standards to See from God’s Sight!
1) See it!
This week, let’s continue:
2) Say it!
First we have to see it. Then we have to say it! The Bible tells us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Prov. 18:21). Quit talking what you experience and start talking what you expect! Quit saying what you have and start having what you say (see Mark 11:23)! “Well now, Pastor, I just call ‘em like I see ‘em!” As long as you “call ‘em like you see ‘em” you will have them like you are having them!
The Bible tells us, “Call those things which be not as though they were” (Rom. 4:17). Unfortunately most of us call those things that are as though they are! That’s like sitting in a cold room and checking out the thermostat. You see it’s 60 degrees in the cold room so you set the thermostat at 60. You then go and sit down shivering wondering why nothing ever changes in your room! If your life’s thermostat is set on “loser”, start talking winner (see II Cor. 2:14)! If your life’s thermostat is set on “worried”, start talking peace (see Phil. 4:6-7)! If your life’s thermostat is set on “sick”, start talking healed (see I Pet. 2:24)! If your life’s thermostat is set on “depressed”, start talking joy (see Phil. 4:4). Start saying what He sees and your “room temperature” will change!
Next week we will continue our discuss on “Why Should I? (Learning to see Yourself as God sees you)”.
