01 Jul Why Should I? (Learning to See Yourself as God Sees You!) Gal. 3:11 Part 8
Over the last several weeks we have been discussing your inward portrait. We learned:
- How you see yourself determines what you see!
- How you see yourself determines how you see others!
- How you see yourself determines how you love others.
- How you see yourself determines how you see life.
As you can tell it’s imperative to see ourselves as God sees us. Over the last number of weeks we have also discussed “Four Standards to See from God’s Sight”:
Standard #1…See it!
Standard #2…Say it!
Standard #3…Show it!
Standard #4…Share it!
We also began to discuss a section I’ve entitled, “Why should I?” designed to help you see biblically who you are and what you have from the pages of the Word of God.
- Why should I say “I can’t” when the Bible says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”!
- Why should I fear when God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind?!
This week let’s continue…
3. Why should I be weak when the Lord is the strength of my life (Ps. 27:1, Eph. 6:10)?!
The Bible tells us, “Let the weak say I am strong” (Joel 3:10). The Bible also tells us to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might (Eph. 6:10). Let’s say I asked you to mow my lawn and you became quite upset because you didn’t have a lawn mower. To which I would say, “I didn’t expect you to mow my lawn with your fingers, I have always intended to let you use my lawn mower to mow my lawn with!” This is exactly what the Lord is telling us…that we can borrow His strength to be strong with!
Next week, we’ll continue our series!
