Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way (Because Tenacity is a Necessity to Fulfill your Destiny) Part 21

Let’s review our series…Over the last several weeks we have shared with you our key scripture for this series:  “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and a sound mind” (II Tim. 1:7).   We then began to share with you “10 Truths Towards Tenacity”:

  1. Tenacious people don’t’ waste time feeling sorry for themselves (Rom. 8:31).
  2. Tenacious people don’t hand the reigns of their emotional well-being to another (Phil. 4:4)
  3. Tenacious people embrace change (Ps. 55:19)

Then we discussed “9 Channels of Change”:

  1. Sometimes people are more comfortable with old problems than new solutions.
  2. The road to growth always travels through the city of change.
  3. God-given change will always create better “normals”
  4. People tend to keep you where they last saw you.  Your change will expose the flesh of others.
  5. When’s the last time you did something for the first time, and if it’s been a long time…it’s about time!
  6. You must be willing to initially do something poorly so you can eventually do something excellently.
  7. You must fight personal complacency.  You fall prey to “success disease” when you feel good about where you are and what you have.
  8. If it ain’t broke…improve it!
  9. Never under-estimate the power to change yourself.  Never over-estimate the power to change others.

4.  Tenacious people don’t waste energy on things they can’t control (Phil. 2:14).

Then we gave you “4 No Moan Zone Milestones”:

    1. Focus on what you do have not what you don’t have (I Thes. 5:18)
    2. Search for the “any” (Phil. 4:8)
    3. Be content with your contents (Phil. 4:11)
    4. Complaining is like bad breath…you notice it when it comes out of someone else’s mouth, but not when it comes out of yours!

5. Tenacious people are not people pleasers (Prov. 29:25).

We gave you “8 Powerful People Pleaser Points”:

      1. You’ll never find peace in another man’s head!
      2. You’d be surprised how little people are actually thinking of you!
      3. If you compromise to keep a relationship, eventually you won’t recognize yourself.
      4. People can be replaced…peace can’t!
      5. The easiest thing to be in the world…is you.  The hardest thing to be in the world…is what others want you to be.
      6. Popularity is when you are liked by others.  Security is when you are liked by yourself.
      7. I’m accepted by the Best…who cares about the rest! (Eph. 1:6)
      8. Don’t go from people pleaser to people pusher (I Cor. 9:19)

6. Tenacious people are courageous (Joshua 1:6-9).

In this section we shared with you “6 Courage Concepts”:

    1. Anyone can see a problem.  It takes courage to solve a problem.
    2. Courage says publicly what everyone else is whispering privately.
    3. Fear is simply courage’s opportunity.
    4. Courage is not careless!
    5. Courage is contagious!
    6. With courage what could be and what should be…will be!

7. Tenacious people let go of the past (Phil. 3:13-14)

Please allow me to share “6 Life Lessons to Let Go of the Past”:

      1. Never let what you did define you.
      2. Never let what was done TO you define you.
      3. Always let what Jesus did for you define you!
      4. Admit it!  Quit it!  Forget it!
      5. Don’t nurse it.  Don’t rehearse it.  Disperse it!
      6. One thing I know about yesterday…it ended last night!

This week let’s continue with…

8. Tenacious people never resent others’ success (Rom. 12:15).

Here the Bible tells us, “Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.”  Please allow me to share with you “Four Reasons to Reject Resentment”:

      1. Jealousy is mediocrity’s tribute to the successful.  Don’t resent the successful!  Emulate the successful!  You can never become what you resent.

Next week we will continue with the second reason to reject resentment…
