The war is over the Word of the Living God! 

Remember that….Deception will be a huge weapon of the enemy to get some to slowly walk away from the Word of God!

We have been sharing with you “Seven WORD War Wonders”:

  1. The war is over the Word (Gen. 3:1)
  2. The Word is the most powerful force in the universe (Heb. 1:3)
  3. God’s blessing resides within the Word (Gen. 1:28)
  4. God’s Word is written for a reason (I John 5:13)
  5. The Word of God is breathed by God (II Tim. 3:16-17)

Remember this:  The Word of God is not just something…the Word of God is Someone!  You don’t just read the Bible…it reads you!

  1.  The Spirit of God will never lead you outside the Word of God (John 16:13)

Remember this:  Scripture prevents you from making a purely emotional decision.  The Spirit prevents you from making a purely rational decision.

  1. You must receive the Word of God to qualify for more of the Word of God (Mark 4:23-24 NKJV)

Remember this:  Leaders are learners.  The moment you stop learning is the moment you stop leading.  Don’t be a know it all, be a learn it all!  

This week let’s continue with…

“10 Basic Bible Truths” that we need to cling tight to in the age of deception:

  1. God created the universe in 6 days.  On the 7th day He rested (Genesis. 2:2).
  2. God created mankind in His image.  Two genders: male and female (Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:22).
  3. God created marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Mark 10:7-9).
  4. Satan is real.  He hates God and His Word.  His only desire is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10).
  5. Mankind rebelled against God.  Mankind died spiritually and became morally corrupt with a fallen nature (Romans 5:12).
  6. God loves mankind and has never desired anything but good for us (Romans 5:8, James 1:17).
  7. Even after mankind rebelled, God created a plan of redemption to pay for our sins and bring us back into relationship with Him (Ephesians 1:7).
  8. God became a man in the Person of Jesus Christ and lived the sinless life we should have lived. He then died the death we should have died to pay for our sin (2 Corinthians 5:21).
  9. Jesus is the only means of eternal salvation.  Through faith in Him alone we are born again and restored into a personal relationship with God (John 14:6, John 3:3).
  10. Every person who has ever lived will stand before God in eternal Judgment.  There is a real Heaven and real hell.  Every one of those people will have their eternal destiny in one of these places based on what they do or don’t do with Jesus Christ (John 5:29).

If there is ever a time to stand up for the Word…now is that time!  Now please don’t be a self-righteous, Bible bashing, no-fun-damental Christian!  There are basically three different kinds of Christians:

  1. Legalists…the world is their horror.  You know this type…sinners are “bad, dirty and unclean” instead of someone Jesus died for!
  2. Lukewarm…the world is their home.  You can’t change the culture until you’re different from the culture.
  3. Loving…the world is in their heart.  Remember Jesus loves people you don’t like!

The war is over the Word of the Living God!
