From Here (How to turn your Setback into a Comeback) part 9

Most people don’t live their lives “from here” they live their lives “from there”.  In other words, they are stuck in the past!   Before I received Jesus into my heart, I had a very rough past.  I had one particular roommate who was also quite the “wild child”.  We both had very short tempers and would do things that could have gotten us into a lot of trouble!  After I was born again, I shared the Gospel many times with my old roommate and he just wasn’t interested.  All he ever wanted to talk about was the crazy things we did together.  Finally, I just simply had to tell him that just wasn’t me anymore.  I now had a strong relationship with Jesus and I must move on!  Remember this: no matter who it puts you with or who it takes you from…you must go on with God!  You see, my old roommate wanted to live his life from there.  However God wants us to live our lives from here!

I Thessalonians 5:15 says, “Rejoice evermore.”  It’s a short but powerful verse.  The Greek word for “evermore” meant ‘from this time on’ and in everyday language, “from here”.  Join with us over the next few weeks as we continue sharing  “13 Facets to live a Constructive Life”:  From Here!
