As many of you know, I am a shark fisherman and last May I took my fishing boat down to South Carolina to fish for big shark from my boat.  I had done this the summer before and I discovered my reel did not hold enough line to bring in the really big sharks.  You know it never occurred to me that “it wasn’t God’s will for me to catch big shark!”  So I simply decided to buy a huge reel that would hold 1500 yards of line so that even Jaws couldn’t get off!  So when my smaller reel...

Most people don’t live their lives “from here” they live their lives “from there”.  In other words, they are stuck in the past!   Before I received Jesus into my heart, I had a very rough past.  I had one particular roommate who was also quite the “wild child”.  We both had very short tempers and would do things that could have gotten us into a lot of trouble!  After I was born again, I shared the Gospel many times with my old roommate and he just wasn’t interested.  All he ever wanted to talk about was the crazy things...

There is a man in our church in his thirties who had a pretty rough past.  Recently he shared a very unique story with me.  During this man’s time before he met Jesus he acquired many tattoos.  Now, please don’t mistake me, our Heavenly Father cares about your heart not your tattoos.  However, now that he had given his life to Jesus these tattoos were not representative of the life he was now living for Christ.  One tattoo was a naked woman and he had many other morbid skull tattoos strategically placed about his body.   Well, he couldn’t go back...
