We live in a society that worships our feelings!  I recently read a very eye opening letter from a very famous Christian songwriter and worship leader in the music arena.  In this letter, he openly discussed how he was feeling and as a result, was walking away from Jesus and Christianity. We really do love our community! To help those affected by the tornado last week, Joy Church is extending our Food Pantry hours this week. A couple of summers ago at about 9:00 pm, I hooked into a monster shark from the shore.  It took me up and down the beach! I would reel it in to about 20 yards from the shore and then it would take off hundreds of yards from the shore.  After a while, it would come back in and I would think I had the shark landed. Everyone needs a hobby that can serve as a “mental getaway”. ..something they do that takes them away from the mental grind of everyday life.  Something peaceful and something safe.
